National Charity for 2008 – Association of Children’s Hospices

The Brigade has chosen to support the Association of Children’s Hospices as its national charity and theme for the campaign is “Together making the most of life”. The charity brings together over 40 voluntary sector children’s hospice services throughout the UK and the money raised will go towards the care of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. There are many ways in which Companies can support this work and as well as raising much needed funds, it is also about raising awareness amongst our own young people about the work of ACH. The Brigade has set the target of raising £125,000 for the Association. This seems like an ambitious target, but are confident that all Companies will rise to the challenge of this very worthwhile cause. The nearest hospice for us is Rainbows at Loughborough. A newsletter from Rainbows will be sent to all Companies. Any money that is raised can be sent direct to Rainbows but if you could let me know the amount raised I will inform Brigade Headquarters
